1. The short version

PayUtility is reader-supported. When you buy through links on our site, we may earn an affiliate commission at no extra cost to you. We only recommend trusted tools like QuickBooks and FreshBooks to help manage your business accounting.

PayUtility is free to use. To keep it that way, we participate in affiliate programs. When you click certain outbound links on this site and sign up for a product — for example an accounting tool or a cross-border payment service — we may receive a commission from the provider.This costs you nothing extra. Prices are exactly the same whether you use our link or go directly; in some cases our links unlock a discount or bonus for you.

2. Programs we currently participate in

• QuickBooks (Intuit affiliate program) — accounting software
• FreshBooks (FreshBooks partner program) — invoicing and accounting software
• Payoneer (Payoneer partner program) — cross-border payment accounts
• Wise (Wise partner program) — international money transfers

3. How affiliate tracking works

Affiliate links contain a unique identifier that tells the provider's website a visit came from us. When you click such a link:

• A referral cookie (typically lasting 30–90 days) is set on theprovider's domain, not ours, so they can credit the signup if you convert later.
• We append standard UTM parameters (utm_source=payutility, utm_medium=affiliate) so our own analytics can measure which page or placement generated the interest. These tags carry no personal information.
• We receive only aggregate conversion data (e.g. "12 signups last month"). We never learn who clicked, who signed up, or anything about their account.

4. Commissions never influence our numbers

Every fee calculation on PayUtility is produced by the same published rate cards, regardless of whether a provider pays us a commission. If QuickBooks pays us and a competitor does not, that changes nothing inside our calculators: the FX spreads, processing fees and comparisons you see are identical to what a non-affiliated researcher would publish from the providers' own pricing pages.

Our recommendations follow one rule: would we suggest this to a freelancer friend? Commission potential is a tiebreaker between equally good options, never the reason something appears.

5. Where affiliate links appear

• A dismissible banner after you generate a PDF invoice
• "Next steps" sections in blog guides
• The transparency notice in our footer

Every affiliate element carries its own micro-disclosure ("we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you") and all affiliate links use the rel="sponsored" attribute as required by search engines.

6. Your choices

You can browse the entire site without ever clicking an affiliate link — every tool works fully without them. If you prefer to support PayUtility while signing up for one of these services, using our link is appreciated but entirely optional. You can also clear or block third-party cookies in your browser at any time, which removes the referral attribution described above.
